What it is

A rhythm game. Notes move along a lane and you tap them in time with two buttons while the figure dances in a crowded square. Play in your browser, on a phone, tablet or computer, with no installation or sign-up. It’s available in 16 languages, Catalan included.

I’ve taken the liberty of making the figures a bit wilder and bringing their melodies into video game territory, with a more light-hearted feel, a blocky look and a surprise hidden in every dance.

How to play

GUA and PA: tap the left or right button when the note reaches the circle (on a keyboard, ← and → or D and K). Each figure has its own words: with the Drac they’re CRE and MA.

GUAPA! Both buttons at once (CREMA! with the Drac). Double points; just one counts as a miss.

HOLD: keep holding until the long note ends (normal and hard).

BALLOON: during drumrolls, tap as many times as you can until it pops.

SPIRIT: each miss drains the square’s spirit; if it runs out, the Mulassa falls and the Drac goes out.

WILD FINALE: the song’s last phrase. Points count double if you have at least 70 % hits.

Your first dance is a guided practice. Then choose easy, normal or hard, post your score on the leaderboards with a nickname, or share your results card.
